Lawmaker seeks more e-learning centers

Ang Probinsyano party-list Rep. Ronnie Ong wants the establishment of more e-learning centers for public schools to arrest the shortage of gadgets and lack of internet access under the Department of Education’s blended learning system.

He said the education department is not that fully equipped in providing quality education under the new normal.

He urged local governments to establish e-learning centers similar to his Frontrow E-Skwela hubs.

Out of the targeted 25 E-Skwela hubs, nine have already been established in Baguio City, Metro Manila’s Manila and Pasig City, Cebu’s Danao and Tuburan, and Camotes Islands’ Poro, Pilar, Tudela and San Francisco towns, he cited.
