United Coconut Planters Bank announced the appointment of seasoned banker Liduvino Geron as officer-in-charge effective July 2, 2020.
Geron brings with him over 20 years of expertise in various areas of banking, particularly branch banking, strategic planning, and lending.
He was the executive vice president for agricultural and development lending of the Land Bank of the Philippines. He rose from the ranks as a LandBank management trainee in 1994 before heading its various units such as the Visayas Branches Group, Lending Program Management Group, Credit Policy Department, Strategic Planning Group, and the Branch Banking Sector.
He has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of the Philippines Los Banos and a master’s degree in Systems Agriculture from the University of Western Sydney.
Geron’s assignment follows the resignation of Higinio Macadaeg Jr. as president and CEO.
UCPB posted P4.1 billion in net income in 2019, up by 16 percent from P3.5 billion in 2018, based on unaudited financial statement for 2019.
