Melco Resorts donates food packs worth P50m

Melco Resorts (Philippines) Foundation Corporation (MRP Foundation), the charitable arm of City of Dreams Manila’s developer, Melco Resorts and Entertainment (Philippines) Corp., is donating P50 million worth of food packs for the government’s food relief efforts during the Enhanced Community Quarantine across Luzon.

The foundation is giving the donation in coordination with Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corp.

“We are heeding the call to lend a helping hand in mitigating the economic situation of those most in need during this temporary COVID-19 crisis. Hand in hand through the spirit of bayanihan, we’re one with the government and other private sectors as we do our part in combatting this pandemic,” said City of Dreams Manila chief operating officer Kevin Benning said on behalf of MRP Foundation.

He thanked PAGCOR Chairman Andrea Domingo for the swift approval of the release of the funds.

The donation consists of 125,000 food packs, each containing rice, canned goods, noodles and water to help vulnerable families tide over the challenges during the period of the Enhanced Community Quarantine.
