Ruffa speaks out

Even  after  over  20  years  in the entertainment industry, Ruffa Gutierrez remains glowingly gorgeous, showing  no  signs  of  the challenges she’s been through in her career and personal life. Before even reaching the legal age of  18, Ruffa had already appeared in more than 30 movies and was one of the most  memorable  and  talented hosts of German Moreno’s popular talent show That’s Entertainment.
Ruffa Gutierrez is an actress, TV host and mother of two girls.
In 1992, Ruffa gained recognition in beauty pageants, decidedly sealing her status as one the country’s most esteemed beauty queens when she placed second runner-up at the 1993 Miss World competition. Soon, because of her rising popularity here and internationally, Ruffa wasn’t only signed for major television and film projects, but landed many brand endorsements as well, ranging from food to beauty products. Certainly  a woman of true (inner and outer) beauty, she was tapped by Avon Philippines  to  become  its ambassador for its Speak Out Against Domestic Violence  advocacy  and  champion  the  Filipino  woman, and just recently, endorse its newest and biggest breakthrough product for anti-aging to date: the Anew Clinical Pro Line Corrector with A-F33. Touted as Avon’s fastest wrinkle fighter to date, Anew Clinical Pro Line Corrector with A-F33 boasts of a Nobel Prize-winning formula that promises transformative results: faded wrinkles in just seven days. Such a life-changing innovation in beauty deserves no less than a woman who radiates it in all aspects of her life, leaving one with no surprise as to why Ruffa was the chosen face for the product. The groundbreaking Avon product, reveals Ruffa, has become one of her newest secrets to staying eternally beautiful and fresh-faced, despite her work’s demanding nature. “Avon’s Anew Clinical Pro Line Corrector with A-F33 works like a dream for me. After hearing how well-received it was in the UK, both by beauty editors and consumers, I’m super excited that it’s finally coming to the Philippines so that Filipino women will be able to try it for themselves!” Ruffa enthuses, hailing the product as a ‘facelift in a jar.’ But Avon’s revolutionary skincare product isn’t alone at working its magic in keeping Ruffa looking young and beautiful. “Of course, it counts that you have a well-rounded lifestyle. My beauty regimen consists of cleaning my face every night before I sleep; as for fitness, I make sure I continuously engage in a physical activity,” she reveals. “Having a healthy relationship with God and my family help me have a positive disposition.” Not many are aware that Ruffa’s aspiration as a child was to become a nun. “I am very spiritual. Like everyone, there are times when I struggle and get confused, seeking the right path. I simply ask for God’s guidance,” she shares.  “Knowing that my family fully supports me is so important. No matter what happens, I am secure in the knowledge that they will be there to help put things into perspective.” These are the simple things that keep the 38-year-old actress, model, and host still at her peak, despite having so much in her hands. Alongside managing her career, she’s raising her two adorable daughters, Lorin and Venice, on her own. With so much to be thankful for, it’s still the simple things that make Ruffa happy. “What gives me real joy are priceless moments, like time spent with my daughters. It reminds me to slow down and enjoy my life and what’s given to me,” she says with certainty.” I think that these are the things that truly make one beautiful, and what essentially make a beautiful life.”
