THE 7th IMAX in the country was unveiled on May 17 at the latest hotspot at The Fort— the SM Aura Premier. SM Prime Holdings President Hans T. Sy, West Avenue Theatres Corporation Senior Vice President Edgar C. Tejerero, and IMAX Southeast Asia Senior Vice President Don Savant graced the opening of the upscale multiplex. Savant, in his speech, said that it is in the spirit of vision that has driven IMAX for 45 years and counting. He likewise expressed his excitement over IMAX’s partnership with SM Cinema, which began when it opened its first screen at the SM Mall of Asia in 2006. “I’m thrilled to be here today alongside our valued partner SM Cinema who shares our vision of bringing the ultimate movie-going experience to the audience across the Philippines,” he said. The IMAX Aura is designed to fill one’s field of vision and engulf one in cinematic surround sound that is so powerful it’s almost tangible. Its features include a slightly curved movie screen that is several times larger than a standard theater screen, and seats that are angled for an unobstructed movie viewing. The IMAX in Aura is one of the offerings of this branch of SM Cinema, which includes two digital theatres and two Director’s Club Cinemas. SM Cinema Aura also houses a Snack Time outlet for delicious gourmet snacks perfect for moviewatching. Furthermore, with SM Cinema ePLUS Card loaded with VIP privileges, special promos, seasonal offers, and invites to special events moviewatching  at SM Cinema Aura is even more a rewarding, fun and convenient experiences. SM Aura Premier is located at 26th Street corner McKinley Parkway, Barangay Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
