Batangas money lenders ambushed
Two Indian nationals in the money-lending business were seriously wounded after they being shot by two unidentified men early Monday in Barangay Banay-Banay Crossing, Lipa City, Batangas.
“Our investigators were still trying to get information. The two victims were involved in a lending business, commonly called 5-6,” Lipa City police chief Supt. Jacinto Malinao said.
He said the attack happened at around 7:10 a.m.
Victims Kaur Premjit, 34, and Parminder Singh, 23, were on board a car en route to Batangas City when two men on a motorcycle shot them at close range.
Malinao said the victims sustained gunshot wounds in the different parts of their body and were rushed by bystanders to a hospital.
