New Benz B-Class launched
Early this week, CATS Motors Incorporated, the local distributor of Mercedes Benz, officially launched a more agile, efficient, comfortable and spacious new B-Class, the first of the new generation compact cars of Mercedes-Benz. It heralds a new compact class era at Mercedes-Benz in terms of both design and technology.
Technologies and notable standard features of the B-Class include safety Assist Systems, such as the Active Parking Assist, Attention Assist and Acceleration Skid Control, as well as 7G-DCT Dual Clutch Transmission, ECO start/stop function and a newly developed 4-cylinder in-line engine. The 5-seater new generation compact car allows the driver to arrive his destination safely, comfortably and in style.
The Night Package has its exterior mirrors painted black, bumper without chrome highlights, roof and beltline trim strip in high-gloss black, dark-tinted heat-insulating glass from B-pillar to rear, and a radiator grille with twin louvers in high-gloss black with chrome highlights. Its 18-inch 5-twin-spoke light alloy wheels are painted black with high-sheen finish.
“[The new B-Class] aims to penetrate a new and younger market for Mercedes-Benz. It is designed with the next generation of Mercedes-Benz owners in mind,” says Zoilo Calina, CATS Motors Assistant Vice President for Marketing Communications. “It also pertains to the safety Assist Systems from Mercedes-Benz”—technologies that help the driver know what’s coming up.
