25 years and still Craving

Susana “Annie” Pascual Guerrero is a wife and mother who loves to cook for her family. What makes her different is that she has parlayed her passion for food into a business with a heart.

The Cravings Group started in 1988 when Annie and her daughter Marinela “Badjie” Guerrero Trinidad decided to go into business with P300,000 as capital. Badjie recalls the time when they had to ask construction workers to help them in cooking and a hilarious incident when they dumped a cold towel on top of an overheating mixer just to keep the business running. Annie shares that they never forget to get feedback from customers and this helped them in fine-tuning their recipes to make their customers happy. Today, The Cravings Group has successfully expanded to different brands such as C2 Classic Cuisine and TCB (The Coffee Beanery), Lombardi’s Authentic Italian and the most recent—Wicked by Cravings. This success has paved the way for other endeavors, such as the Center for Culinary Arts (CCA, Manila) and Asian School for Hospitality Arts (ASHA), events venues C3 Events Place and Oceana and the hotel chain The Orange Place and Seven Suites Hotel Observatory which cemented the already venerable reputation and stature of Annie and Badjie as movers in the restaurant and food service industries, not to mention pioneers in culinary education in the Philippines.

The years of perseverance and hard work have paid off as The Cravings Group is now on its silver year. To thank its loyal patrons, Cravings has prepared a special commemorative menu that pays homage to its restaurant. Cravings@25 offers a wide selection of dishes and treats that diners will absolutely adore. The menu combines classic bestsellers that have been associated with Cravings with new creations. As part of sharing the celebration with its customers, Cravings will hold promotions and contests. The brand will also stage “Throwback Cravings” where customers can avail of commemorative treats from the restaurant, including dishes that will be sold at its original 1980s price. From October 16 to November 16, “Silver Cravings” will also feature P250-silver plate dinners including an assortment of Cravings classics and a commemorative Cravings-branded Keepcup which will be given to single receipts of P2,500 and above.
