Rolls Royce makes debut in PH, opens in Bonifacio

Luxury car maker Rolls Royce Motor Cars made its debut in Manila Wednesday bringing in the worlds best in luxury customized automotive car segment. Rolls Royce Motor Cars regional director for Asia Pacific Paul Harris said the strong economic growth and renewed interest in the Philippines prompted the car maker to include Manila in its expansion to the Asia-Pacific region. The Philippines is now an important investment destination in Asia. The Philippines has always been in our radar which is why we were compelled to bring in the worlds best car to this country, said Harris during the media launch at the Manila Peninsula Hotel in Makati City. The car maker signed an initial P150-million dealership agreement with British Bespoke Automobiles Inc. Rolls Royce spent the initial capital outlay on the procurement of three Rolls Royce unitstwo Ghost models and a Phantom modeland the construction of facilities that will showcase Rolls Royce cars within the Bonifacio Global City. Bespoke president Willy Tee Ten said his company was optimistic of hitting double-digit growth sales within the first full year of operation. Weve been flooded by requests and inquiries mostly from politicians and the Philippines most successful people. An ultra-successful enterpreneur can afford our standard Rolls Royce unit, he said. A base model unit like the Ghost model would cost as much as P25.9 million, including duties and taxes.
