A stunning beauty with the gift of gab, she’s the host of MTV Shoutout on MTV Pinoy. A great dancer with dynamic moves, she was called “Princess of the Dance Floor” on a previous GMA show, Party Pilipinas. Now, Yassi Pressman is out to make an impression as a movie star with her delightful performance in Diary Ng Panget The Movie based on the no. 1 bestselling book by Denny.
Yassi plays Lorraine “Lory” Keet, whcr is half-British and half-Pinay, just like herself in real life. Beautiful inside and out, Lory is the best friend of the self-proclaimed ugly girl, Eya (Nadine Lustre), and the apple of the eye of Chad (Andre Paras). But Lory takes no notice of Chad as all her attention is directed to Cross Sandford (James Reid), Willford Academy’s Student Council President and star athlete who also happens to be Eya’s boss. Lory has been in love with him for so long, but she can’t seem to make him feel the same way.
Yassi reveals that just like Lory, she has already experience’d her first heartbreak, but she doesn’t regret it, She says, “It made me grow as a person.” Incidentally, in grade school, she also had a crush on a varsity player, which is another similarity she shares with her Lory.
Yassi lives by her motto, “Be happy; it’s all that really, matters.” Right now, being part of Diary ng Panget The Movie is one of her joys. She admits to being active in social networking sites and is thankful to all her supporters. She says, “The tweets I get from you guys make me smile all the time, and whenever I’m down, you guys make me feel special again.”
