John Lloyd, Toni reunite in sitcom

IN THE Kapamilya network’s newest sitcom, John Lloyd Cruz and Toni Gonzaga star as a newly married.

Home Sweetie Home is expected to make waves among Kapamilya fans as a new year begins for the network.

The two stars have long been expressing their excitement for the project’s kick-off, which has been much anticipated over the past months. John Lloyd and Toni were surprised, especially Toni when she learned that she was cast in the sitcom. She was very excited because it is the first time for her to be with John Lloyd on television as a pair.

“This will be our first time together on TV, so I hope everyone would be a part of it, too. I hope they’d enjoy,” Toni said.

The last time the two shared the screen was in the movie My Amnesia Girl in 2010.

That was four years ago and now they are in Home Sweetie Home, and playing a married couple living with their extended family and going through a lot of silly things.

John Lloyd and Toni are with some of the country’s well-loved television stars, including Rico Puno, Sandy Andolong, Jayson Gainza, Miles Ocampo, Clarence Delgado, Joross Gamboa, Ketchup Eusebio, Eda Nolan, Ryan Bang, Eric Nicolas, and Mitoy Yonting. Home Sweetie Home airs Sundays beginning Jan. 5 after Goin’ Bulilit.
