Color-coded

By Dinna Chan Vasquez | Sep. 15, 2013 at 06:02pm
When I was pregnant, I used a line of hair products that I know now saved me from going bald due to hair loss months after I gave birth. I don't remember the exact name of that particular Kérastase line but it consisted of a shampoo, a conditioner and vials of hair oil or serum from Kérastase.

If my problem is hair loss, my daughter's issue is with her thick, curly and unmanageable hair. Her preferred product is the Nutritive Masque Oleo-Relax conditioning treatment. There are many brands of hair care products out there and some of them are good and effective in terms of addressing one needs but Kérastase is considered the best in hair care.

"They have been doing it for nearly 50 years. They truly are the experts in post-salon hair care and even in-salon treatments," says a hair stylist.

Kérastase’s products address the needs and concerns of different hair types. The brand devised a basic and simple three-step routine: Bathe, Treat, and Texturize, to transform the hair and unleash its seductive power. Bathe products are shampoos that wash away impurities. Treat products are conditioners and masques that provide intense treatment and transform the hair instantly. Texturize, the last step, are leave-in products to protect the hair, locking in the benefits of Kérastase’s hair care regimen.

The brand has introduced a color-coded system to identify the products that target specific hair concerns. This is the Kérastase colour-coded solution.

For dry hair: Nutritive (orange for nourishing care)

For weakened hair: Resistance (green for repairing care)

For colored hair: Reflection (fuchsia for color care)

For long hair: Cristalliste (pink for shine care)

For men's hair: Homme Capital Force (black for densifying care)

For scalp concerns: Specifique (gray for scalp care)

For "precious and sublimating care:" Elixir Ultime Gold

Kérastase says the "Elixir Ultime 24-Carat Regimen is an alchemy of magical oils that enhances every hair type. This versatile and luxurious line contains the highest concentration of four precious oils (Argan, Camelia, Pracaxi and Maize) leaving hair smooth with glamorous shine."
