AIG Philippines names Lwin as new chief executive officer

Mark Lwin has been appointed as president and chief executive officer of AIG Philippines.

Prior to this appointment, Lwin served as the CEO of AIG Shared Services, Malaysia, where he led the expansion of AIG’s shared services operations and provided insurance services to AIG companies worldwide.

Lwin is returning to the Philippines for his second time in an AIG senior management role, previously spending six years leading various aspects of AIG’s shared services operations. He held a number of key leadership roles within AIG’s premier shared services center and was promoted to senior vice president of general insurance and BPO operations in 2009.

With over 22 years of experience in insurance operations, financial services and operations management in Asia and the United States, Lwin holds Master’s Degrees in Business Administration and History from The George Washington University, Washington DC, and a Bachelor’s Degree in History from the University of Texas at Austin.
