Kapamilya leading man Sam Milby is playing a dark character in ABS-CBN’s highly anticipated drama series Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala which premiered on June 17.

“I’m very happy and excited with series because I’m portraying a different role here. The audience will get to see a different Sam compared to the characters I’ve done before,” says Sam.

In the series, Sam gives life to the character of Eros Diomedes, a rich young man who grows up with a bad temper and struggling with issues since he was a kid due to a domineering family.

While he was accomplishing a business-related task assigned by his father, Eros meets and falls in love with a woman from the province named Anessa, portrayed by Judy Ann Santos, who is fondly referred to in the network as Queen of Soap Opera.

According to Sam, it is a big honor for him to work with Judy Ann in the project. “Even if I did not grow up here in the Philippines and if I didn’t get to watch her previous shows, I really have to say that Judy Ann is a great and talented actress. I am very intimidated by her when we are doing scenes together because her talent in acting is really amazing and remarkable,” Sam said.

Huwag Ka Lang Mawawala is a part of ABS-CBN’s celebration of 60 years of Philippine Television. Completing its powerhouse cast are KC Concepcion, John Estrada, Tirso Cruz III, Coney Reyes, Susan Africa, Mylene Dizon, Matet de Leon, Empress, Bryan Termulo, and Joseph Marco.
